The purpose of Children's Liturgy of the Word is to proclaim and explain the Sunday Scripture readings to the children in an age-appropriate manner. This takes place during the 9:30 am and 11:30 am Sunday Masses (except for the summer months and during certain feast days). Immediately after the opening prayer of Mass, children between the ages of six and 10 are invited to a separate room where they hear the Word of God and a teaching is given at their level of understanding. The children then return to Mass for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. The Children's liturgy is taught by a group of qualified volunteer parishioners. All children are invited and parents are welcome to accompany them. Contact: Jojo Lazaro at (916) 772-4717, ext. 125 or [email protected].
